The Background
Present day society comprises of Nuclear families. Most
of the children stay away from their ancestral homes in pursuit of their career. Life is smooth and comfortable as long as you are working
but the situation changes drastically after you Retire. One can neither leave your place
and stay with your children nor you can expect the children to leave their
career and come back. The parents, who have given their youth bringing up the
children, are left with no choice than
stay alone in their homes. Most of the parents will have money, house, vehicle and other amenities but what is lacking will
be company, a
secure environment to live and reliable “Helps” to carry out your home
needs. Under this background, community living has great relevance.
The Paradise
"Cheri Retirement Homes - The Paradise" is an Exclusive Self help Senior Citizens community, a close knit Retirement
Community of like minded, contemporary lifestyle Senior Citizens / families , moving into a Secured Environment where you
live for the rest of your life. It is a gated community built on 1.5 Acres of land. The intending seniors are moving into a new habitat where one can
live in luxury / comfort and in the company of people like you who
has rich and varied experience. Basically, it is intended for Retired Senior
Citizens who can afford a luxury living at the fag end of their tenure in this
world. The entry age will be 60 years for the youngest of the spouses .
The Project consists of Accommodation
for 19 families , 7 Singles and 2 Guests.
The
built up Accommodation consists of 6 Single Story Duplex Villas and a Ground
plus 2 Apartment Block . The Ground Floor , modelled on the lines of the Officers'
Mess of the Armed Forces, has an office block, a Library & Reading Room, a Doctor's Room,
Internal Recreation Rooms ( Table Games), an Exercise Room ( Tred Mill, Cycles)
, a large Ante Room (Club Room) , Dining Hall & a Kitchen Block .
The Facilities
offered includes Security, House Keeping, Supportive Medical care, Common Dining,
Recreation , individual Parking, Drivers on call , Jogging track etc. The Accommodation is elder
friendly.
The
Accommodation is fully Furnished and the inmates can choose one of
the three types of Accommodation :
1. The Villa Type
Accommodation ( For Families ) - A Master Bed Room with an attached Toilet, a
small room with an attached Toilet ( For a Home
Nurse / Nursing Asst. , when ever you need one) , a small Living Room and
a Sit out ; Total 418 S ft ( One half of each Single Story Duplex Villa - DU Rev.2 ).
2. Type 1
Apartment ( For Singles ) - A Master Bed Room with an attached Toilet
& a Living Room opening into a common corridor - 350 Sft
3. Type 2 Apartment ( For
Families ) - A Master Bed Room with an attached Toilet, another Bed Room
with an attached Toilet ( For a Home Nurse /
Nursing Asst. , when ever you need one) , a Living Room and a
Balcony ; Total 530 S ft ( on 1st and 2nd Floors, 4 each)
4. Guest Suites - 2
Nos. of the Type 1 Accommodation is set apart for visiting Kith and kin
of the inmates, when ever required.
In one of the wings ( above the Kitchen
Block), we have Dormitory Type Accommodation for Female staff in
the First Floor and Dormitory type
Accommodation for Male staff in the Second Floor.

Guest Rooms & Staff accommodation.
There will be at least 2 Guest Bedrooms , in order to accommodate
visiting Children / Kith and Kin of inmates. Members can make advance booking
for the Guest Rooms.
Limited accommodation will also be provided for the staff , in an area specially reserved for this purpose.
Senior Citizens’ Residence
Association
The facility will be
established by the Promoter before
occupation. All Members inducted will abide by an Article of Association drawn up specifically for the
facility. Upon occupation of all DU's, the self group will be Registered as a
Senior Citizens’ Residence Association. The day today administration of the
facility will be carried out by a Management Committee constituted from among the members. All expenses ( food, water ,
Electricity and staff Salary etc ) will be equally shared by the occupants on “No
profit No loss” basis .
